Oh look! It’s Valentine’s Day.
Okay, I confess I have some Valentine’s Day friendly cards but I’m not actually a fan of the celebration.
If you are in a relationship, choose other days to go overboard with your affections. Make it a surprise, make it impulsive. Resist the urge to find yourself squashed in an overpriced restaurant surrounded by whisperings of sweet nothings, or at the local garage buying the only (wilted) bouquet of roses you can find.
If you’re not in a relationship, this day can make you feel pretty rubbish about yourself. We don’t want that.
So, I’m starting a new thing. Maybe it exists already. Maybe it’s rubbish, because the term ‘pal’ is considered colloquial. But I don’t care, I’m doing it for my pals. If we’re going to have a commercialised, affection giving day we may as well MAKE IT FOR EVERYONE.
I give you… Palentine’s Day (hmm, not so catchy). For those who don’t know, pal means friend.
I made a download! There are two options.
A5 GREETINGS CARD
I’ve set this up to be printed horizontally at A4 size – make sure you choose the horizontal layout option on your printer! The image will be printed on the far right side of the paper. Then you can fold the paper in half to create an A5 card.
JPEG SQUARE IMAGE
This link will take you to a square version of the image in my google drive. It can be downloaded from there and used as an image for your social media accounts or you could just print it as a mini piece of art. Set your printer to ‘centre’ the image. It can be printed as either horizontal or portrait.
If you’re printing on US sized paper still follow the same steps, it shouldn’t crop any of the image out when printing. Any technical problems, let me know and I will see if I can help! I’m not super technically minded when it comes to downloads, but hopefully together we’ll be able to come up with a solution. Because that’s what are pals for.
